Did you see the report that we are more likely to vote for politicians with deep voices? The same survey stated that women with deep voices are seen to be more trustworthy. This started me thinking about the men that I look up to and none of them have particularly deep voices. In fact Rhett Butler in ‘Gone with the Wind’ is a bit of a cad and doesn’t he have a deep voice?
What about women’s voices. Mine isn’t particularly deep, so does that make me untrustworthy? I hope not. I then looked at my own opinions about women in the media and it was quite interesting. The women that I particularly dislike in the media do all seem to have high annoying voices.
So, what do you think? Does a deep voice mean security and trust?
