On a cold winter evening, there is nothing better than snuggling up with a good book. What is your preferred genre? Funnily enough, I love thrillers and crime. Scandinavian crime is top of the list and I can’t wait for Jo Nesbo’s new book to come out in March. Donna Leon and her Venetian detective is also a firm favourite.
However, there are other books that are lodged in my memory. ‘The Book Thief’ made me cry. Kate Mosse’s ‘Winter Ghosts’ was haunting. All time favourite – the one book that I would take on a desert island – ‘Frankenstein’. This was a book that I had avoided until university and then I fell for it in a big way. Even now, I still weep for the monster as he tries to find acceptance. It is a book that I never ever tire of.
